snoqualmie was born after years of listening exclusively to attack in black and watching nothing but twin peaks. not quite a solo project but not quite a band, snoqualmie’s founder blake enemark can be recognized as the former guitar maniac for both forestry and we are the city, a touring member with canadian folk troubadour northcote, and as the cowboy bass player in the wicks. after teaming up with danny costello (vincat, forestry), simon haisell (carousels, ruthie & winfield), and colin nealis (a pocket orchestra, aidan knight), snoqualmie assembled in a cabin on a remote coastal island to record an album. the result: a beautiful collection of songs about dissonance and redemption.
